Why is the wine bottle dipped in a bucket full of red color?

After the wine bottle is capped, it is dipped into a bucket of red dye before final packaging.

Why does this happen and what is this red coloured solution. Let us tell you.

Whenever you see a wine bottle, there is often a red seal or a layer of wax on it.

This is not a decoration, but there is a very important reason behind it.

While packaging a wine bottle, it is dipped in a red coloured solution or wax and then sealed.

Actually, the function of this red wax is to protect the cork (wooden lid) of the bottle.

This prevents it from drying out so that no air can enter inside.

If the cork dries out, oxygen can seep into the bottle, potentially spoiling the wine.

In ancient times, wax seals were used to keep insects away and protect the wine during long journeys.
