Tesla has officially announced its entry into the Indian market.
Tesla has released its first teaser for India on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle.
The teaser features the Tesla logo with the word 'India', a city skyline below, and the text 'July 2025' at the bottom.
The teaser post says "Coming Soon...", but the official launch of Tesla in India is set for 15th July.
Tesla's first showroom in India will open on July 15 in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC).
Tesla's first 4,000 sq ft showroom in Mumbai marks its entry into the South Asian market.
According to a Bloomberg report, Tesla Model Y could be the first car launched in the Indian market.
Tesla Model Y offers a driving range of up to 574 km on a single charge.
Five China-made Tesla cars have arrived in India, likely for display at the Mumbai showroom.
Due to high import duties, Tesla cars are expected to be priced on the higher side in India.
Tesla recently announced job vacancies for various positions in Mumbai and Pune.
Tesla invited applications for roles in Supply Chain, IT, Operations, Charging Infra, AI, Sales, and Customer Support.
